SAMBHO SIVA SAMBHO TELUGU MOVIE REVIEW:

Story:

The film is about Karna (Ravi Teja) an unemployed youngster who values friendship and honesty above everything else in his life. His friends Malli and Seenu are the usual lot many of us can identify with. Malli – a role essayed by Allari Naresh – wears his heart on his sleeve and is especially endearing. Into their lives walks Santosh (the son of a MLA) who falls in love with a factionist’s daughter Priya. Karna, Malli and Seenu join hands to unite Santosh and Priya. In the process they also take the help of local Naanni (Sunil). In the process their lives get shattered. In the fights that ensue, Malli becomes deaf, Seenu loses his leg. And Karna’s maamayya (Thanikella Bharani) refuses the hand of his daughter to Karna because of him getting involved in a police case. In between all this they get the news that Santosh and Priya have separated because they get “bored” of each other. Karna gets angry because he feels that too much has been sacrificed for the sake of Santosh. So he wants to teach him a lesson. How Karna and Malli manage to do that is the story of the rest ofthe film.

Movie Analysis:

The realism in the film is excellent In fact it is way too intense so as to cause a measure of discomfort. The scenes where Karna and his friends run off with Priya from the warlord’s den in Kurnool are shot with authenticity. The blood and gore can make you wince. Also the scene where Karna’s maradalu (Priyamani) tries to fight for the love of her man with her father (Thanikella Bharani) is intense and so very real. The dialogues between the friends and their interplay with their families is easily identifiable. The director manages to get middle class authenticity into the screen in a manner not seen for a long time in theTelugu screen. Cinematography is sharp and detailed. The film in the first half manages to sustain the viewer’s interest. In the second half the film sinks under a tidal wave of emotion. The whole atmosphere of the film gets noisy. Telugu audiences are not used to this level of emotional heaviness especially when the film has Ravi Teja in it. Fans who expect the usual dose of slap stick humor, punch dialogues and racy songs – the staple diet in Ravi a Teja film - will be disappointed. Sunil’s comedy is a let-down. The songs and dance have a distinct “tamil” flavor in them. Priyamani looks like a ragged doll. I don’t recollect the last time aTelugu heroine was presented with such a heavy foundation make up throughout the film. The characters of Roja (Santosh’s mother) and Mukesh Rishi (Priya’s father) are wasted. But the biggest conflict is with the message in itself. On the one hand the director seems to be telling that one should not rush headlong into love marriages. On the other hand his Karna’s character seems to be ready to help another set of lovers get united. And to add to the confusion, Karna himself seems to accept that his love is doomed.

Final View:

Watch it if you are a hard core Ravi Teja fan. And even then prepare to see him like you have never seen him before. He is totally deglamorised – sad really considering the fact that he looks fit as a fiddle. In this packed Sankranthi schedule, Sambho Siva Sambho seems to have dropped out of the race, which in all likelihood will be between Adhurs and Namom Venkatesa. That I guess speaks about the status of this film.

Namo Venkatesa Telugu Movie Review:

In Sankranti race venki latest movie Namo venkatesa not dissapointed the audience. he proved that he is a producers and directors hero.Venkatesh has always been a producer’s hero. Not many people know that Venkatesh suffered with chikungunya towards the end of the shoot of this movie. He had to dance for Namo Venkatesa title song and Bangkok song despite of the pains because they had to release the movie for Sankranthi. If you look at Venkatesh in these songs, you realise that he looks fresh and happy. That’s why Venkatesh is called as the producer’s hero.

Story:

well coming to story,Venkata Ramana (Venkatesh) is a ventriloquist. He goes along with the troop of artists to perform for a local Telugu association in Europe. Paris Prasad (Brahmanandam) is a tour organizer in Europe. He enjoys making people around bakras. Pooja (Trisha) is the niece of Prasad. Venkata Ramana falls in love with her. Prasad realises that only way to make Ramana bakra is to tell him that Pooja loves him too. Pooja is the daughter of a rich factionist in Rayalaseema and she is forced to return back in the middle. Her marriage is fixed with a guy she doesn’t like. The rest of the story is all about how Prasad conspires with Ramana to rescue Pooja.

Movie Analysis:

Sreenu Vytla has become synonymous with entertaining films after a series of hits like Dhee, Ready, King, etc. Venkatesh, on the other hand, is known for his brand of comedy. So it is natural expect to get nonstop laughs when these two come together. Although, the director has tried to evoke laughter from Venky and Brahmanandam, the comedy is not that effective. You get to see the usual stock scenes of an Sreenu Vytla's film - of hero beating others in drunken state, a huge star cast, a comedian is getting fooled by the hero every time and some action. All is there but the entertainment is not that effective. It is just okay. Writing is the main villain. Script (Gopimohan) and screenplay (Sreenu Vytla) are on beaten track. Preposterous scenes and comedy that is done to death are biggest drawback. Faction element in second half is not gelled right with the main story.

Artists Performance:
It’s a cake walk for Venkatesh to do such a fine comedy performance. He looks good and performs very well in the only emotional scene in the climax. Trisha is nice. Brahmanandam is pretty good as a guy who loves fooling around with the people. Ali is entertaining in a brief role. MS Narayana’s jyotishyam episode is nice. It’s a routine role for Subbaraju. Jaya Prakash Reddy, Dharmavarapu, Kota and Telangana Sakuntala are adequate. Master Bharath’s character is not hilarious as it is supposed to be a positive character helping hero.

Technical departments:
There is no freshness in the story and entire story runs on deja vu. We have seen innumerous movies (Sankham, Jayeebhava, Saleem to name a few in the last few months) in the past where the half of the film happens in the abroad and the other half shifts to Rayalaseema. Our story writers are still stuck in DDLJ hangover where hero comes from abroad to stay in heroine’s place. The idea of hero planning to start a factory by partnering with the family of heroine is also inspired by DDLJ. Venkatesh has done similar climaxes in three films after year 2000 (Nuvvu Naku Nachav, Vasantham, Adavari Matalaku Ardhalu Verule) where heroine who is about to get married to another guy changes her heart in the last minute.

Screenplay - direction: Screenplay of the movie is good in parts. Seenu Vytla who mastered the art of entertainment made sure that he had lots of entertaining scene in the movie. However, most of them are already done by him in movies like Dhee and Ready. Irrespective of how many number of times he directs drinking scenes in his movies, Seenu Vytla makes sure that he entertains each of the time in a refreshing way. The way Venkatesh dances to tunes of other heroes and beats Brahmanandam up by remembering his enemies is good. I also like the creative idea of changing the tunes in the background when Venkatesh and Ali aim for Trisha (Emaindi Ee vela and aashique banaya). We expect a lot from Brahmanandam character in Seenu Vytla movies. In the earlier movies of Seenu Vytla, heroes make Brahmanandam a bakra and audiences loved it. However, in this movie Brahmanandam makes hero bakra most of the times. Hence the desired effect is missing on the Brahmanandam character in this movie compared to earlier Seenu Vytla’s movies. Screenplay of the movie becomes disengaged towards latter part of the second half.

Other departments:

Music by Devi Sri Prasad is adequate with the title song being peppy. Picturization of the songs is very good. Cinematography by Prasad Murella deserves a special applause as the visuals are shot beautifully. The virgin locations chosen for shooting of songs are excellent. Diaogues by Ramana Chintapally are nice. Production values by the new production house ’14 Reels Entertainment’ are very good. A lot of care is taking in postproduction activities as well.

Final View:

Namo Venkatesha is regular Sreenu Vytla's brand of movie with a bit of comedy, romance and action. More emphasis is made on Venky - Brahmanandam's comedy. That is the best part and the rest is ordinary. Its a complete good family Entertainer movie.
