Jr. Ntr New Film Brindavanam Telugu Movie Review:
Going by the posters, the audiences were given to a feel that NTR would bring them magic with a class touch, of course for the first time in his career. But, when the audiences come out of the theatres, they are for sure that the movie is a mix masala of beaten elements. The major plus point is that Brindavanam has been shot with decent touches, and hilarious comedy, though most part of it again is outdated, but holding the punch to get it live again for them. Though the movie runs through a soft line, it does not have the stuff that really suits with NTR.
Story:
Krishna alias Krish ( NTR) is the son of a millionaire (Mukesh Rishi) in Hyderabad. He eats away time by way of singing love marriages among his friends. He too has a love interest in Indu ( Samantha), who has a friend Bhumi ( Kajal). The twist is that Bhumi’s dad ( Prakash Raj) wants to get her married to her cousin ( Ajay), which she doesn’t like. Naturally, she bluffs to the family that she has already fallen in love with a guy. Indu helps her by renting Krish as her would-be, just to get her escape the marriage clutches for the time being. Going to the village of her pretending lover, Krish successfully solves the rivalry between the girl’s dad and his brother (Srihari). Impressed with the talent of Krish, Bhumi’s dad accepts her love and declares them as would-be-couple. Now, Indu has no other go but to get back her lover. What happens next? It forms the crux of the family drama.
Artist Performance:
Though NTR did a role which really doest suit his image, he could do it with élan. His dialogues are simply superb. For the first time, NTR tried his level best to take on the mantle of a lover boy, but it’s up the decision of the audiences. Kajal’s role looked dull from the start to finish, while Samantha too couldn’t enliven the mood. They just played the glam dolls without the spirited stuff. Prakash Raj and Srihari did routine roles. All others brought justice within their limits.
Technical and Other Departments:
Vamsi Paidipalli has proved his calibre as a director who knows how to make stylish, action films with his debut Munna.The comedy is the lifeline of the movie with hilarious scenes from Brahmanandam, Venu Madhav and NTR. However, the songs are not impressive, but for a couple of numbers with average appeal. Music by Taman is just average to hear in the theatres. Cinematography is a big plus point to the film. Editing is crisp. Good Screenplay by vamsi.
Analysis:
First half of the movie is adequate. Major part of the second half is entertaining. Climax of the movie is debatable. The plus points are NTR and entertainment in second half (from interval to the 5th song of the movie). On the flip side, the story of the movie gives us deja vu feeling in many aspects and the emotional part should have been natural (instead of appearing forced). Brindavanam is a decent and clean movie with enough ingredients to make it work at box office. It is up to NTR to get a range for the movie.
Final View:
Brindavanam, away from obscenity and violence, might catch up with the family crowds. Its a Colorful family treat. go and watch this Dhesara with your family.
