After Shilpa Shetty, Bipasha Basu too has come out with her fitness DVD titled ‘BB Love Yourself’. The first release from Bips will be Fit & Fabulous, a do-it-yourself DVD devised for a 25-minute workout which promises to cut fat and tone up muscles.
Bipasha Basu, who has always been a fitness freak says, “Love yourself is my philosophy in life, hence the brand’s name. It is not a narcissist attitude (to use her initials) because I truly believe that we all must love ourselves before we set out to achieve anything, whether it’s a work goal or a relationship and the first step here is to get fit, as everyone wants to look good.”
Fitness is what Bipasha believes in and the entire concept of this DVD is hers inspired by this belief in health and fitness. “Films, fitness and fashion are my passions,” she says, “this is the first time that I will be doing something professional for the latter two. The focus is on health, and it has a scientific approach.”
“It is very compact, targeting people who are busy, who don’t like to go to the gym or don’t have time,” says the actress. “It is entirely my baby, from the script to shooting it, the camera angles and lighting. But I did have fitness expert Deanne Pandey on board when the initial groundwork was done. He is my dear friend,” she adds.
This Diwali, two big projects hit the screens and the actors of both the films went out of their way to meet their fans in person and get the first hand review of the audience. But, it is definitely very clear that Ajay Devgan’s ‘All the Best’ has defeated the big budgeted and over-hyped ‘Blue’ in gaining bucks at the box-office.
Akshay Kumar, Lara Dutta and Katrina Kaif were there for the ‘Blue’ movie screening and Akshay was aware of the fact that the film wasn’t appreciated much by the viewers. He said, ”Critics haven’t liked it, some have, some haven’t but every individual has its own liking or disliking, said Akshay Kumar.”
‘All The Best’ has been liked by both the critics and viewers alike. Ajay Devgan was there at Cinemax on Sunday evening along with Bipasha Basu, dressed in a sexy blue outfit, director Rohit Shetty and the comedians Sanjay Mishra, Atul Parchure and Mukesh Tiwari.

Mini Biography Fate intervened when Bipasha recoiled and passed out when dissecting a rat. Thus ended her dream of being a medical professional. She was enrolled in the Science faculty until 12th standard, but switched to Commerce thereafter. After acquiring a degree in Commerce she planned to be a Chartered Accountant but ended up being the Ford Supermodel of the World when she was just 17 years old.
Bipasha was born on January 7th 1979 in New Delhi. subsequently the Basu family re-located to Calcutta. Bipasha is the second of three sisters, born and brought up in a Hindu Bengali family, she is fluent in Hindi, English, and Bengali. The names of her sisters are Bidisha and Bijoyeta. Unbelievable as it may sound, sexy Bipasha was considered 'ugly' in her younger years due to her dark complexion. Her name means 'Dark Deep Desire', and is also the name of a river.
After her triumph as the Ford Supermodel, she went on to be crowned Miss Vivacious sponsored by Tulips.
Bipasha made her foray into Bollywood with 'Ajnabee' in 2001, and subsequently acquired a place for herself in the tinsel world. This light eyed, 5’8” high, dusky colored Bengali beauty was born on 1st January 1979 in Delhi, but she was raised in Kolkata where she spent major portion of her life. Her name Bipasha quite aptly means “Deep, dark, desire”. Bipasha is the second of three daughters in her family. Her family consists of her mother, her father, her elder sister Bidisha, and her younger sister Bijoyeta.
Bipasha says her career as an actor was not planned but accidental. She wanted to have a career as a doctor or a chartered accountant, but she gave up her dream of becoming a doctor when she passed out while dissecting a rat.

Bipasha had worked really hard with most sincere efforts for Ajay’s film. She not only worked late at night and early in the mornings, she also kept the phone switched off during the shooting thus cutting off from everyone including beau John Abraham who has hurt his legs. Bipasha also agreed to do an additional role in ‘All The Best’ without extra charges. When Ajay came to know that Bips wanted a Blackberry phone, he thought it would be just the right move to show his appreciation for her dedication. Says the actress, “Yeah, Ajay knew I wanted it. In fact it was he who got me interested in. It is actually a gift in appreciation for working long hours and changing at lightning speed between shots when we had loads of work to finish. Ajay is a fabulous producer and co-star.” Bipasha is all ga-ga for her new phone and says, “I love it! I’m going totally crazy with it. Though I’ve no numbers on it and am trying to figure it out, I just can’t get enough of it.”
